Throwback helmet day

Recently at work, I did a project involving using the helmets for all of the college football teams in bowl games...during the process of completing the project, I came across some really cool looking helmets that college teams used to wear back in the day. I know there are some nice NFL throwback helmets as well...so, here are a couple that caught my eye. Enjoy:

All of these helmets are courtesy of The Helmet Project (http://www.nationalchamps.net/Helmet_Project/).

Florida State,1962. How incredibly racist

South Carolina, 1970-74. Love the black

Ohio State-1965. This is weird but very slick

Wisconsin-1967-69. I like their current helmets, but this is better

Kent State-1990. Gotta throw the alma mater in here

Missouri State-1965-67. Sick. Just sick. Are they poisonous??

Idaho State-1991. Or as I like to call it, the Cincinnati Bengal

North Alabama-1977-87. This looks like a 5-year-old took the Detroit Lions helmet and took crayons to it

The New Haven Nijas of the defunct american football leauge 2

Buffalo Bills-1987-01. One of the best ever. Period

NY Jets-1963. Looks, its an actual Jet! Get it??

Houston Oilers-1972-74. Bring back the Oilers..forget the Titans or whatever they are now

Steelers-1962. Classic (and still evil)

Raiders-1994, for a couple of games. I love this one

Tampa Bay Buccanners-1976-96. No legit great helmet list would be complete without this gem

Kansas City Chiefs-1960-62. They were in Dallas back then...tricked you!!
