I am a fantasy football junkie, which is not news to anyone who knows me. I was in two $$$ leagues this season, and lost in the Super Bowl of each. Yes, I am already starting to look at next season...doing my research takes time people!
Anyway, one guy that I love for a first-round pick next season is Aaron Rodgers, the Packers QB.
His numbers this season: 4,434 yards and 30 TDs. Five games of 300 yards or more.
Consider that he put up those numbers playing behind a porous offensive line, with the term "porous" being kind. He was sacked more than any other QB in the league. He's got weapons at receiver (Jennings, Driver, Nelson), an emerging star at TE (Finley) and a top-15 running back (Grant). I expect the Pack to address that offensive line in the offseason, which makes it likely Rodgers will match those stats next season, possibly even put up better numbers.
If I am picking anywhere from No. 5 down, I would consider taking Rodgers. Would I rathern have him over Tom Brady? Probably not, but I would think hard.
Over Drew Brees? Yes.
Over Peyton Manning? Yes, all the evidence I need to support that argument is the last three weeks of this season, I wonder how many thousands of fantasy teams lost in their playoffs because of Manning. I wonder how many won because of Rodgers?
I'm sold.

Don't forget the 55 rush attempts he had for 305 yards and 4 TDs.
